Janine-Coney-Photo-Presentation

Recently, I had some photos taken of me for use on my website, business cards and other collateral. I hired a Vancouver photographer, Janine Coney. My experience working with her was a “WOW” experience from the photo shot through to the presentation of the finished images. We started by shooting down near the Seabus station, then on Hastings Street followed by shots on the top level of the parking garage of The Bay downtown and ending on Hamilton Street near where I live. It had been years since I’d had photos taken (back in my musician days) but Janine made me feel so comfortable and we had a lot of fun.

Once the session was done the images were uploaded to a site where I could go through and choose 50 out of 375 shots. The process was very simple. Janine then placed those on a CD for me and we met up at my favourite cafe, The BUZZ at Homer and Smithe where she presented me with a customized bag containing a black box with a ribbon and a mini card attached with her name on it. Inside the box was a padded CD folder with one of the images from the shoot on the left and a customized CD that contained my images. She also included a dozen 4 x 6 prints.

Now, some may think that all of this is just par for the course, part of the job as it should be, but the trouble is, it so seldom is. Janine exceeded all my expectations. Not only did she take some really wonderful shots, she carried a sense of professionalism and “wow” through the whole process.

Janine you get my first WOW Award! Congrats.
